Recipes Italian Appetizers

Any Eritrean who can share recipes for typical Eritrean desserts and appetizers.?
I am hosting an Eritrean night, and don’t have a clue. All I’ve seen in my travels are sliced oranges, popcorn and candy as dessert, or the Italian pastries, but I’m wondering if there isn’t anything I don’t know about. Also, regarding appetizers, any suggestions?
This is a good recipe, but the only traditional Eritrean meal I’ve made:
Tsebhi derho (spicy chicken)
Ingredients
1. 1 large or 2 medium onions, chopped
2. 1/2 cup berbere sauce (recipe follows)
3. 4 tablespoons butter
4. 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
5. 2 teaspoons minced garlic
6. juice of 2 lemons
7. 2 tablespoons tomato paste
8. 1 teaspoon salt
9. 3 large tomatoes, sliced
10. 2 -3 pounds chicken, cut into pieces
11. 4-6 hard boiled eggs, peeled (depending on how many people you are serving)
12. 1 cup of water (more if needed)
Rinse the chicken and pat dry. Marinate the chicken with the salt and lemon juice for 30 minutes. Saute the onions in a little water until soft. Add the berbere and butter and cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and tomato paste, simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often. Add 1 cup of water and chicken, simmering until chicken is done, about 40 minutes. Add the eggs and simmer for 5 more minutes.
Berbere Sauce
Ingredients
1. 2 teaspoons cumin
2. 4 whole cloves
3. 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
4. 1/2 teaspoon pepper
5. 1/4 teaspoon allspice
6. 1/2 cup dried onion flakes
7. 2 whole chili peppers, stemmed and seeded
8. 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
9. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
10. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
11. 2 teaspoons garlic powder
12. 2 teaspoons salt
13. 1/2 cup peanut oil
14. 1/2 cup red wine
Toast the first 5 ingredients in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Grind all the other ingredients except wine and oil together in a coffee grinder or food processor (turn your face away as the spices may cause eye irritation). Place in a bowl and stir in oil and wine. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
